They don’t.  You’re right.  Coaching jobs are considered “classified”, but with them more times than not being tied to the teaching job (which being certified has to go the 30)..most just usually go the 30 days.

IIRC jobs now only have to be posted for 15 days.  That was a change several years back because the rationale was that since jobs are now available in online portals it is easier to get applications and vet people.

Well I was referencing BB as Bird Bath in my reply so I guess you would have to ask your friend if BB is related to BB/V or not.

This is true. And it comes in very handy when needing to make hires over Christmas break or right before the start of the school year.

I was just informed on committee members; so hopefully they get the right candidate!  Been so busy with other things.  House appraised, holidays and such.  Perhaps are local beat writer can keep us informed on those up and coming players that have to stay within the program.  There was a couple that really enjoyed his last article!

One thing I think we all can agree upon is the returning players and classes behind them need to stay together. Parents and players alike that I have spoken with can't say it enough.

Matt Bertasso and Wes Caldwell? Those 2 I have heard for sure. I got a text that said possibly a football player. To quote another poster on here “I spit my fruit loops out” when I read that one. Not 100% sure on others. I’m sure there has to be what, 5 or 6 people. Agree with Sweep, JOAT would be a very good committee member to have been reached out to, to help in the recommendation process. Heck maybe he is one and not telling us. 

I know six.  You TFVH named two.  One is an incoming senior football player and then members of football, clubs, boosters and other organizations.  JOAT is not a committee member.  I plan on staying quiet and watching closely.  Sorry commish I can’t reach the bat (bird) phone.

So, I think I get the sentiment behind the comment, but as I understand it, a) this was a request from the team during the initial call with the principal and AD after news about BW came out, and b) the "committee" isn't exactly hiring the coach, they're providing their feedback and recommendations.  It's not like there's a scenario where they were going to hire Dale back but the high school kid said no.
