Cov Cath handled business in the first 3 quarters and the Birds come back from a 13 point deficit in the 4th quarter to bring it within 2.

Colonels pull out the win and head to the Sweet 16 to represent the 9th.

That was a rollarcoaster at the end. Props to Highlands for giving it their all when it seemed over.

What a game, great season Bluebirds, congrats CCH!

Great game! Good luck to the Colonels at Rupp!

Birds will be at Rupp next year...congrats to the Colonels, they got some studs!

Survive and move on.

Neil Green is the 9th Region Tournament MVP.

Scoring per James Weber:

Highlands: Delagrange 2, Vinson 24, Muller 7, Ahlfeld 15, Barth 3, Harris 3.

Great job by Highlands not giving up and coming back to make it a game at the end and keeping it within single digits!

This makes 3 straight years for Covington Catholic heading south down interstate 75 to Lexington in about 8 or 9 days. They will take on the 12th region champ West Jessamine.

Added Mr. Rabe. Congrats Gavin!

Great season from the Birds! Lot of fight. It is fun to see them back relevant. Look out 9th region in 20/21, lots of buckets coming back to the Fort!!!

Survive and advance. I would have more of Hupmann in the game in the 4th quarter. He was a game changer when he was in there.

Vinson was easily the best player on the court tonight. Future is bright for that young man.
