April 26, 20197 yr I read where his Daily Doubles average about $7k more than the average DD 20 years ago, and ~$2k more than Jennings. He’s the game show equivalent of the coach who keeps his starters in and pressing in 60-point blowouts, and I love it. Plus he’s not smug like that bartender who had a good run recently. This is a ton of fun to watch.
April 29, 20197 yr James is just flat-dab smart. I would like to see the stats on # of answers on the board he gives and the # of his respones that are correct. I will guess he answers 75% of the board and 90+% of his answers are correct. I think he might be 100% correct on Final Jeopardy. His opponents are always in awe, and usually intimidated by his blitz-krig attack.
April 30, 20197 yr It was a great game tonight. I've watched the last 6 or 7 shows (since I heard how James was dominating) and this was the first one where he was challenged. You could see how relieved he was after winning. He has made Jeopardy must watch TV.
April 30, 20197 yr Both foes tonight were formidable. That was gut-wrenching to watch but James held on in the end.

April 30, 20197 yr Anyone catch the date he used today for his daily double. 10/1/17, in memory of the date of the mass shooting in Las Vegas.
April 30, 20197 yr They were not in awe today. He survived today. You are correct. Best opponents he has had to date. Certainly not his normal juggernaut self.
April 30, 20197 yr How close was it? Final totals? He won by $18 Holzhauer dodges 'Jeopardy!' threat, wins by $18
April 30, 20197 yr The guy who finished second yesterday had the highest losing scoring in Jeopardy history at $53,999.
