November 28, 20187 yr Name that suddenly popped up on Twitter as the next person of interest as Brohm was declining is Scott Satterfield at App State. Hadn’t really seen that name much before. Has won at least a share of the Sun Belt title each of the last three years after taking over in 2013.

November 29, 20187 yr Author Brohm staying at Purdue. Just told team. I think he made a huge mistake. He would have had a long leash at UL before fans expected much from him, plus he could compete for an ACC title a lot easier than a B1G title.

I disagree in part. I think the UL fan base is so hungry to get the football team back on track that they would have imposed unrealistic expectations on Brohm. As far as competing for a league title, I think that the Big 10 has more quality teams that can stand in your way but it doesn't have the absolute roadblock that is Clemson. I don't think Brohm has made a big mistake at all. By all accounts, the Purdue AD and President (former Governor Mitch Daniels) are behind him 100%. I respect his decision completely and without reservation. Plus...Purdue probably has sweetened the pot to keep him.
