Brohm made a great call. He is committed to the program, players, and recruits to finish what he started. I have much respect for that man.

 

Expect some noise from the Boilermakers in a year or two.

I would get it if Brohm had left, but I like and respect that he stayed at Purdue. Yes, he got the pay raise but I like him sticking with the players who bought into him and came to Purdue in large part because they believed in him.

Followup: I have to get off Twitter. These folks have lost their minds. A surprising number of Louisville fans are convinced it should be no problem for Tyra to walk into another P5 school and snag their coach. It’s stunning.

I've been reading where the Louisville fans can't believe Brohm didn't come and where the Purdue fans couldn't believe he would leave to go to Louisville. I guess it's all in your perspective. I shouldn't say "I told you so".

I know that a lot of U.L. fans were disappointed with Brohm's decision. I think that he knew what a re building job that it would take at U.L., then looked at what he had going at Purdue and decided against it. Purdue / Brohm are in a good division in the Big10 to get to the conference championship game. Being in the west, Brohm doesn't have to beat OSU, Mich., Penn St., MSU to get to the Big10 title game. Purdue would only have to beat one of them in the championship if they win their west division.

Another thing that impressed me about this was Brohm's loyalty to his team, recruits that he told he would be there along with the University that hired him, was under contract with. Today' s CFB has too many coaches that would leave in a heartbeat. J. Brohm showed me something and what he's made of, that's missing today and I admire his decision.
