Duke 118 Kentucky 84

Featured Replies

UK has no leadership at all and hardly any experience.

How is Kansas ranked higher than Duke? After what I seen last night I would pick Duke over Kansas any day of the week and twice on Sunday.

Anybody know the going rate for large quantities of strychnine? And is it detectable in autopsies?

Don't worry about the autopsies. If you can get the bodies to me I have access to an incinerator.

They just very well may end up as the best ever. Everyone talks about how bad UK was last night, and yes they had 15 turnovers, and their shooting wasn't great, but Duke is going to pretty much going to have their way offensively against any team they play. Kentucky will be fine until they have to play Duke again.

Duke can get to the rim anytime they want. So if they are also making the outside shot. I agree they will be impossible to stop.

You should watch Duke play when you get a chance. You will be entertained.

As a fan of college basketball, this team is must watch TV when playing a decent opponent.

I can't wait to see a thread created to ask which NBA teams would lose to Duke.

It's one game in early November. Duke shot well and played a little defense; UK didn't shoot well and played no defense.

Guard play was terrible--Hagans, Herro, Green, etc.

A few positive thoughts...

At this point last year (even in the middle of the season) the "experts" were saying that UK didn't have a point guard or a go to scorer and would be the worst Cal team and they ended up with two lottery picks and were PJ free throws from the Final Four.

Second, the defense always gets better as the season goes on with Cal.

Third, UK got into the paint all night long. Duke's defense was only slightly better than UK's.

Finally, Johnson and Travis were solid.

Can't wait for a potential rematch in March.

Since no one else wants to go there, who has a better shot at beating a pro team: Alabama against an NFL team or Duke against an NBA team?

Prolly the Warriors.

All great points. Herro surpringsly led the team in minutes. Even though his shot was off. He did other things that I didnt even realize. He led the team with 9 rebounds and also led the team in assists with 5.

I honestly would like to see a starting lineup of

Quickley

Green

Johnson

Then come in with

Ashton

Herro

Washington

Montgomery

With Green coming in off the bench I feel like he thinks he needs to come in and score. Have him start so he doesnt feel like he has to be that spark. Then have one of those guys stay in like Johnson and bring this four in. Herro is going to shoot and can be a spark off the bench. Both lineups have a guy who can block shots. A guy who can pound it inside in Reid and Washington. So just gives them a little different dynamic, and gets guys use to playing with certain guys. It seems like they will consistently play 9 guys. So may be hard to build that chemistry with all kinds of different lineups.

He's a pretty well rounded player and just forced some shots last night. I'm not concerned with him at all.

Did the Cats really miss Brad that much?

Well they never lost by that much when he was available to play. So the answer is obviously a yes lol.

The way Duke shot the ball and played last night no one in the nation can touch them. They would have beaten Kansas or Michigan State by 20+ points. Or maybe 30. That was an incredible performance. UK got all out of sorts and looked terrible for most the game but Duke’s studs were the reason. Williamson is unreal. He’s a bigger version of Charles Barkley and that’s scary.
