I don’t know enough about Williamsburg to judge.

I would think until a team puts the Rocks to rest for this season they have to still be in the conversation. Say what you will but counting them out might be just a bit premature.

Not counting anyone out here. We all know it’s not over until the playoffs. You have to have your head checked if you put a 4&6 team in the top five. Last nights win was by five points against a 5&4 team that a few weeks ago only managed to beat an Eastern team by 5. Trinity is not good right now. No amount of tradition is going to change that. Every player will have to carry a Shamrock in their sock if they hope to win the championship this year. They are just not top five now. Honestly if you compare scores and teams they have played (excluding the national powerhouses), they shouldn’t even be in the top ten conversation.

Williamsburg has a fine team, but they in no way are a top 5, 10, 20 or 30 team in the state. I don't see Trinity as a top 5 team either...St. X should replace them.

I think a lot of you are confusing potential with performance. Unfortunately potential doesn’t win football games.

For those ranking Frederick Douglass over Covington Catholic, what do you say to the fact that FD beat Henry Clay 36-3, and CCH not only beat Henry Clay, but was up 38-0 at halftime before putting in 2nd and 3rd stringers for the second half?

Williamsburg is ranked 78th in the State by Cal Preps. There are many teams they would not compete with. I’m sure they are competitive in Class A, but not with anybody in the State.

1. I think the past has nothing to do with this season, they just aren't "Trinity Good" this year.

I’ve been thinking about that lately myself, even with believing that Covington Catholic is #1. That was very early in the season, which may have been even more impressive for Covington Catholic. Everyone can have differences in how they play week to week. I think that Covington Catholic and Frederick Douglass are very close to each other.

Not saying they will, but some teams have an uncanny ability to rise to the occasion. But you have you thoughts on the matter as I have mine. That's exactly why they have to play on Fridays. Don't accuse me of being a fan of trinity and drinking the cool aid, that is not the case here. They might not be good right now but I don't think a lot of teams are licking their chops to play them (X and Male might be but I don't know). By the way; my appointment with the psychologist is for Wednesday.
