Congrats to the Jumpers on a great year. Score does not show the battle that was on in the first half. They grow those boys wide in Somerset. -

Depends on your family

By definition if you do something all the time it’s not special. My point was that this is routine to several programs and it is expected and not special. Walton Verona should be super excited this year it is special for them. Trinity for example is here I’m sure just about every year. They earned their spot in the semifinals by beating a very average Ballard team twice. To me that’s not very “special”. Absurd or not, that’s my opinion. No knock to the great teams that do this each and every year, but it’s not special for them if they expect to be practicing each year.

It’s good to get a real nonbiased opinion. Don’t be such a homer that you won’t even listen. This gentleman put a lot of time in to his response. Don’t come back with an insult because you don’t agree. Grow up.

I think if you do it every year, it’s not all that special. I,m excited for the teams that this is a rarity for. They need to be excited and realize what a privilege it is to be practicing today. There are a lot of kids out there that would gladly take their place.

And Trinity’s best win is? A tough schedule only means somesthing if you manage to beat one or two of the top tier teams. 0-6

As a defense guy, I am still going with he is making a play on the ball. I would have to see him turn the receivers body with his off hand to call interference on this play. Again contact is allowed if making a legitimate attempt to catch or bat the ball. Looks pretty Legite with the left hand outstretched toward the ball and head focused on incoming pass. That being said I understand from this photo that the play could have been called either way. Great photo either way.

No wonder no one wants to be an official.

Pretty sure we played them twice. I think they were ranked #2 in 2a the first time around an #3 in 2a the second time around. Have any of the remaining teams played a top 3 team in their class? The answer is no. You schedule the teams ahead of time, you can’t control how good they are from year to year.

Just a slight correction CAL scored first, but Desales did lead for a short time 7 to 6. -
Most years I would agree with you. This year seems to be the exception to that perception. (How did you like the rhyme?)

This does sound a whole lot like the Glasgow vs WV thread. -
Unless he looking out his ear hole, he was looking at the ball. Your right I can’t see that his head is straight in his helmet. I don’t have a dog in this fight to make me bias one way or the other. Can you say the same?
-
That’s horrible. That being said, the quality of officiating has really fallen off in the last few years.

What was the call on the field?
