No disrespect to Corbin, but Central just hung a 60 piece on the prohibitive 3A favorites. That one could get ugly. So will Trinity/Central Hardin and Cov Cath/South Warren.

Pikeville/Raceland

CAL/Mayfield

Scott County/ St. X will all be great games, IMO

Really? Corbin at Central and Scott County at St. X blowouts? Who is blowing out who in Collins at Franklin Simpson?

Central

St.X

Franklin Simpson

Are all strong favorites in my opinion.

The games I listed I’m not confident in picking a winner.

Here is how I see it:

1. Christian Academy-Louisville at Mayfield ... total toss up

2. Scott County at St. Xavier ... another tough call

3. Collins at Franklin-Simpson ... Collins slight favorite on the road makes this a tough call

4. Harlan County at Madison Southern ... Madison Southern a 1 TD favorite

5. Johnson Central at Wayne County ... I make Wayne a 7 point favorite

6. Pikeville at Raceland ... I see Raceland as about a 10 point favorite at home

7. Corbin at Central ... I make Central a 2 TD favorite at home off last week's impressive win

8. Boyle County at Elizabethtown ... I think Boyle Co. has been underappreciated by most; I see them as a 3 TD favorite and will not be surprised if it is more

9. Danville at Glasgow ... 3 TD's+; I doubt a running clock, unless it happens late

10. Beechwood at Campbellsville .... 3 TD's or more; running clock possible

11. Covington Catholic at South Warren ... almost certainly a running clock

12. Trinity at Central Hardin ... also a running clock

I will add, in my top 7 games, I could see either team winning even though I have favorites listed. In the bottom 5, I will be surprised if my listed underdog wins. The bottom 3 games are the most clear cut winners IMO.

1. Harlan Co. @ Mad South

2. CAL @ Mayfield

3. Johnson Central @Wayne Co.

4. Pikeville@ Raceland

The rest are blowouts.

Really? Corbin at Central and Scott County at St. X blowouts? Who is blowing out who in Collins at Franklin Simpson?

I don't know anything about Collins or Franklin Simpson but I think St. X and Central roll in the other two games.

Well Central didn’t “roll”.

 You are right Les ... Central didn't roll. Neither did St. X.

But, it is hard to predict these games. Sometimes matchups of certain teams against each other make things unpredictable, and sometimes a game just gets goling in one direction and becomes a one off type of score.

The most surprising game of the night for me was Boyle County and Elizabethtown. E-town hung with Boyle much more than I expected.

The second most surprising was Johnson Central's margin of victory.
