Wearing the Flag on a Uniform is disrespecting the flag. (US Flag code Chapter:10-176D) " The Flag should never be used on wearing apparel, Bedding, or drapery."

 

But that wasn't the reason the NFL did not allow the Cowboys to do what they requested. They denied them this because they don't want every team or every player advocating a cause, no matter how worthy. So they make the teams stay uniform with their uniforms.

 

You see, it isn't about free speech. It is about speech that the league chooses to allow. And it is about the league's ability to squelch free speech that it doesn't want.

So it sounds like there were quite a few boos at the stadiums yesterday when players decided to kneel during the anthem....My question is, isn't booing during the anthem every bit as "disrespectful" as kneeling is?

The whole Tebow thing was primarily manufactured by his fans looking for an excuse as to why he isn't in the league. He didn't get nearly as much grief about his beliefs as he did about the fact that he wasn't very good. Nobody cared about Kurt Warner's beliefs because he could play. No one complains about every athlete thanking God when they are interviewed after games. Tebow's biggest issue was his overhyped ability. Nobody cares (or at least very few) whether you take knee after a touchdown, or while during the anthem, as long as you can play. Much like Tebow, Kap's problem is he just isn't very good.

If something needs fixed, lets say police brutality toward anyone whether it be Black, White, Asian, Indian etc, taking a knee will not fix it. Sitting down with someone or a group of people who has the power to change the laws or change the way things work will fix it. Anything else will only divide further.

Cowboys took a knee before the anthem, not during.

At the Colts, Browns game all boos stopped when the anthem started. No booing during the anthem.

There's not a single NFL stadium that suspends concession/beer sales during the singing of the National Anthem. Nobody ever made ANY stink about that...but folks silently kneel during the Anthem, good God, you just took it WAY too far! That is disrespectful to the flag, to the military, to dead veterans, and to the country!!
