jericho
Is it time to design a new flag? Obviously the one we have now isn't respected, burned, a symbol of oppression, trampled on, spit on, and being made a mockery of from pro athletes to 8yr olds. TheDeuce
No, it’s just time for people to understand it represents more than just what they agree with.
jericho
No, it’s just time for people to understand it represents more than just what they agree with. And what does it represent to them. To me it represents freedom and our United Country.
TheDeuce
And what does it represent to them. To me it represents freedom and our United Country. Freedom... meaning having the right to kneel during an anthem if you don’t agree with what’s going on in YOUR country.
jericho
It's obvious that it represents 2 different things to people.
jericho
Freedom... meaning having the right to kneel during an anthem if you don’t agree with what’s going on in YOUR country. And the freedom to think those kneeling are stupid.
TheDeuce
And the freedom to think those kneeling are stupid. Absolutely. My initial response to that is don’t throw stones in a glass house.
GrantNKY
And the freedom to think those kneeling are stupid. Exactly, you can think they are stupid, and they can think you are ignorant. That's how this whole freedom things works. You can think whatever you want.
B-Ball-fan
And the freedom to think those kneeling are stupid. You're also free to remain conflicted by and unaware of the intent, but you're as equally free to ponder that perhaps no disrespect is intended, and that it's meant rather to be a reminder that the flag represents all of us, and not just some of us, and that there's more to paying it homage through traditional ritual, and that the actions in our everyday life need also to follow the spirit of the "And Justice for All" message that this country has been built upon. theguru
I like what Scott Hanson said on the start of NFL Red Zone, something to the effect that we love the games and boom!
NKY Bandit
I find it ironic that millionaires are 'upset' about their lot in life. Most of them are playing a game for a living. In the meantime, they are being disrespectful to those that have valiantly served. Find another way to protest. Maybe stop going to work. Let's see how devoted you are to your 'cause' when you cant afford gas for the Lambo. I'm over the NFL and NBA anyway. All I need is an excuse to change the channel. TheDeuce
So because they make a lot of money they aren’t allowed to have an opinion or exercise their freedoms the way they want? That’s lazy...
NKY Bandit
I think its hypocritical of them.
Voice of Reason
I am scared what the flag would look like if they designed a new one today.
TheDeuce
I think its hypocritical of them. It’s hypocritical of them to protest racism and police brutality because they are millionaires? How does that make sense?
