Didn't watch many cartoons growing up. If we were awake we were gettin' out of the house until we heard St. John's 6 o'clock bells then headed home for supper. Didn't matter what the weather was like.

 

However, if we simply couldn't get out, we watched Bugs Bunny, Heckle & Jeckle, Flintstones, Top Cat.

Same. Back in the day, Saturdays were the only day you could find a cartoon on anyway.

They started coming on in the afternoons in Louisville when I was in the 4th or 5th grade (mid-60's)

I was young at the time. It was all my mom let me watch. No remotes back then. I couldn't reach the TV to turn it to another channel.
