I think that Ryle will be playing the Bluebirds at Paul Brown to open up the season.

You and me both!!!! Those were great travel games for the birds and a chance to play against some great schools.:ylsuper:

I heard Highlands could be trying to get more than one western KY team on the schedule.:sssh:

I remember in 03 the Ads came up there and pulled out a come from behind win! Then the next year Highlands came to Danville and Kicked butt! That was a great Highlands team that year!

I have seen Trinity's schedule. Highlands isn't on it.

Is the other 5A team of note from Northern KY?

I know this isn't the right time to be thinking of next year for CovCath, but are they having as much trouble scheduling teams for next year as Highlands? Without being able to play Ohio schools next year are they able to play a full schedule?

I'm not close enough to the process to be able to answer that. I know that the rumors were we'd be playing Trinity and LexCath, and while the LexCath game seems to be a done deal, I hadn't heard any more about the 'Rocks.

What has changed in Ohio to not allow teams to play Ky teams??????

The incident was during Duffy's last year. It was during the game, not after it. They took a year break and then played again in the late 90's with the combined scores being like 1,340-24 in favor of the Birds. Those were some of Highlands best teams and some of NewCath's worst. I would really like to see them play again.

Well you said enough when you mentioned Duffy's name.

I think they could be competetive games and not blowouts.

Belfry and Highlands had some great games in the 80's to early 90's... it's a long haul but from what I gather, Belfry has been having a hard time filling all their new non-district games. I wonder if the powers to be at Highlands have tried to contact the powers to be at Pond Creek.

I wish they were, and I know a lot of other people around here feel the same way.

I wish Highlands would put the Tennessee Vols on their schedule, Kentucky can't beat them, maybe Highlands can. ;)
