You mean like almost every other night?

I need a seat on the bus...... please.

In case you were wondering, it is 271 miles from Hopkinsville to Ft. Thomas. Considering the time change, kickoff should be around 9:30!

We at Hopkinsville don't mind to play on the road. Especially when it comes to going to a different part of the state. Gives the kids here a chance to see a part of the state they never have and perhaps never will again. But anytime you can play a program like a Highlands you do it. Tough competition in the regular season only helps you when the playoffs roll around.

Hoptown is searching for 2 games so we play anybody who will play us.

1) Trigg Co. (Bowl at the Stadium of Champions in Hopkinsville)

2) Marshall Co. (Trigg Co. Bowl)

3) Ohio Co. -DISTRICT-

4)@ Madisonville

5)@ Christian Co. -DISTRICT-

6)@ Highlands

7)?????

8)?????

9)@ Owensboro -DISTRICT-

10) Warren Central

Hoptown has been talking with Tates Creek & Louisville Fern Creek about playing.

Here is the latest on Highlands schedule as of December 19:

August 24 - Ryle - Away - 7:00 p.m.

August 31 - Conner - Home - 7:00 p.m.

September 7 - Holmes - Home - 7:00 p.m.

September 14 - Dixie Heights - Away - 7:00 p.m.

September 22 - Covington Catholic - Away - 1:00 p.m.

September 29 - Hopkinsville - Home - 3:00 p.m.

October 5 - Scott - Home - 7:00 p.m.

October 12 - Lexington Catholic - Away - 7:30 p.m.

October 19 - Open

October 26 - Madison Central - Away - 7:30 p.m.

November 2 - Louisville Central - Away - 7:30 p.m.

NOTE: The game against Dixie Heights could be moved to Paul Brown Stadium. If so, it would be played on September 15.

Going to be kind of a bummer playing on the road the whole last month of the season.

That looks like a pretty darn good schedule to me! A nice mix of opponent quality level. Not too easy, not too hard... just right!!! I really hope that HHS can play that Dixie game at PBS. HHS has never won a game there, and I'd like their chances against Dixie (much more so than against previous PBS foes Cincy Colerain, Louisville Saint X, and Cincy Elder).

The Ryle game at the first of the year ought to be a real opening-season treat for NKY football fans!

Does this mean there may be two PBS games?

September 29 - Hopkinsville - Home - 3:00 p.m.

A home saturday afternoon game?

A home saturday afternoon game?

It would almost have to be on Saturday, when you figure into the fact that Hoptown probably doesn't get out of school on Friday until 3 (5 our time) and then has to travel 5 plus hours. The game couldn't start on Friday night until around 11:30 pm. Its doable in reverse, but not when they come up here. It will be a nice change to see a varsity game at Highlands on a Saturday afternoon. Might bring a really nice gate. CovCath have a home game that week?

If the Dixie game gets moved to Saturday, that would make three straight Saturday afternoon games for the Birds. How weird is that?

Not going to be fun for the junior footballers. What a mess this will be.

Hoptown game not until 3. With no JV game that day, it shouldn't present too many problems for the Jr. Football League. Prior week is at CovCath. We usually resched the Jr. League games for when we play CovCath over there anyway. And if we play Dixie at PBS, that something that we usually work around also, as we've played over there the last several years. Only issue may be the fact that its back to back to back (assuming Dixie agrees to play at PBS on a Saturday). We'll be okay. Just got to be flexible:banana:.

I know this will sound dumb; but what's the idea behind moving the Dixie game to PBS? Is it a thing like the iWireless games? Will there be other teams involved?
