I sat on the porch and let the walk come to me.

The conversation is not quite as engaging to the rest of us when you have it with yourself...

Nah, the dad's were too busy ducking and laughing from the missed shots to be able to talk about the schedule. At least this time the boys hit something other than hedge apples and a Nutrageous candy bar.

I've heard that the Birds may be playing Louisville Central, Madison Central, Hopkinsville,LexCath, and Ryle as their non-district games. Can anyone varify this?

They will be playing Hopkinsville at Highlands. Right now it is the 6th game of the year on the Tigers schedule.

In case you were wondering, it is 271 miles from Hopkinsville to Ft. Thomas. Considering the time change, kickoff should be around 9:30!

This is a major road trip from Louisville..... The Western KY parkway has a lot to be desired from a visual perspective as well as smoothness of the ride. In short, get ready for the longest, roughest and worst road trip one can have.... Now, play a game, hopefully win, and ride back.... Its enough to make one sick and the body will be sore from the ride alone.... All said and done, with a couple of stops, elapsed time of travel can easily approach 5.5 hours, one way.......

Sounds like you better call Executive and reserve a couple/several buses. If we leave right after school (3:00) and it takes 5.5 hours, we should get there around 6:30 given the two hour time difference. Kids get off the bus, put on their eqpt and play. No horsing around, just strap them on and play. Tailgating for the fans will have to take place on the bus. No problem. Sounds lke fun to me. Get back around 5 am the next morning. Heck, I can go right to the farm. Hope Dale doesn't schedule a jv game for the next morning. That might be a tad rough. Oh well, if he does, the jv kids will just have to suck it up and play. Playing through adversity is just part of life's challenges.

Not a problem. We'll probably just a couple of buses for two different times. A couple will leave around 12:30 / 1:00 (the one I will be on) for those of us that can't sit still and have to be at the stadium at least 2 hrs. before the game and then I'll have a couple leave at 3:00 for those that are waiting for students or that can't leave work that early.

Hey there maybe only one bus at 12:30 and I may be the only one on it but that's just the way I am when it comes to Highlands football. I want to be there when the team gets there.
