I have to go with Johnson Central, and I certainly will be pulling for the Golden Eagles.

I think they will see better team but more importantly a healthy team!

I'll take JC to win this one BUT Franklin-Simpson has surprised me three times this season. I wouldn't be surprised if they won this game. Home field advantage for them also.

Johnson Central may be playing the best football of any team in the state. They have outscored their opponents in the playoffs 211-15.

IMO Johnson Central vs. Franklin Simpson will be the best state championship game. I will take JC 27-20.

Give me FS in this one. FS pretty much dominated a really good John Hardin team and missed 2 chances to score more and the JH score was kinda lucky. I say FS wins #3 35-31

I will be shocked if JC allows more than 28 points

 

Not saying F-S is going to lose or can't beat them, but if they do it is going to be a game in the 20's or less. Both JC and FS have very solid Defenses but JC's D is very, very good

Coming into this weekend, this matchup was the one I was most hoping to see come to fruition. It's the only one of the six title games where both teams had a legitimate claim to #1 in the regular season. This time next week, we'll know for sure who the top dog in class 4A really is.

JC wins and it won't be as close as most are expecting. This is by far, the best JC team I've ever witnessed.

Has Johnson Central played a team like Franklin-Simpson this year and has Franklin-Simpson played a team like Johnson Central?

 

I'm speaking in terms of scheme and makeup and not talent.

Mayfield was supposed to beat CAL. People thought South Warren would repeat this year and beat FS twice in doing so. Johnson Central is the favorite according to the computers and people who have watched them. No doubt JC is very good, but the favorite doesn't always win.

 

I haven't seen JC play, and a lot of people who are picking JC to win haven't seen FS play. Looks like JC has had one competitive game this year, and they lost it. FS has had a few, and they won them all. Running clock games for a solid month of playoffs can take the edge off of a team, especially when they play a team that can punch back. FS has dominated both lines of scrimmage against everyone they have played except maybe South Warren, and the lines took over late in both those games.

 

Belfry beat JC with good defense in the red zone and by running behind that great o-line. FS loves to run it and while FS has a really good o-line, it is probably not quite as good as Belfry's. The difference with FS is that if they have trouble running the ball, they have a deadly accurate QB and several fast and sure-handed receivers and can spread it out and beat teams through the air. FS has given up 4 less points than JC has. Wildcats defense is good against the run and the pass. The difference maker may be that FS is a second half team. They just wear out the other teams in the trenches and are used to playing the starters all 4 quarters. If FS comes into this game healthy, I think they will bring more to the table than JC has seen this year.

 

I'll take FS 21-14.

I haven't seen either team play, but know both are excellent teams.
