I know you can't just go off scores, but I can't see Johnson Central losing this one. They must be a machine. Franklin is very good defensively and that should keep them in the game for a while. However, I wasn't overly impressed with them offensively. I think JC will win big. I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't a 35-7 JC win.

What does the injury report look like for both teams? JC has had several season ending knee injuries, but they were very early in the season and have had no impact in the playoff run. I would say the Golden Eagles are at full strength with respect to health (much different from last season), but cannot comment on Franklin-Simpson.

This. It was a very physical game. FS just won out. The first half it was a fight. Both squads had some shoulda, coulda, woulda's in the first half. FS fumbles on the one going in down 7-0 that could have tied it at that point; which could have lead to a 14-7 halftime lead for FS. John gets a pick 6 called back on a defensive holding that could have put them up 14-0, instead FS drives down to score. 7-0 after one JH, 7-7 half, 14-7 end of 3, 27-7 final.

 

I thought both teams played very physical last night, especially on D. FS was just flat out better in that category as the game wore on and in the end.

JC comes in to this State Finals in much better position than last year. FS by all accounts is a quality team and JC should expect nothing but a battle.

 

That being said, I expect JC to win its first ever state title by a score of 35-14.

FS will be fine by the weekend. This time of the year all teams are banged up, but all should be good. It looked like FS back up QB did a great job last night in the 2nd half. These kids have played together for many years and have several in the back up role that would start elsewhere. FS wins this one 20-10.

Without question the most inaccurate statement I have read regarding this game. The FS QB was tacked once, could have been flagged as a horse collar, the QB is fine he was held out as a precaution.

 

John Hardin, after the fluke play they scored on in the first quarter, never threatened the end zone. In the second half JH did not break 20 yards of offense. Big reason they did not possess the ball. That unimpressive FS offense executed three long ball control scoring drives.

I'm not going to argue with you macdon. I guess you will just wait and see next week . You guys have a good team, but to think FS is great on offense is pretty inaccurate. They are solid on offense, but I saw John play against at least 4 better offensive teams this year. FS is winning with defense.
