I'm not going to argue with you macdon. I guess you will just wait and see next week :). You guys have a good team, but to think FS is great on offense is pretty inaccurate. They are solid on offense, but I saw John play against at least 4 better offensive teams this year. FS is winning with defense.

Defense wins championship!!! If you can't score, you can't win. Just sayin!

The game will be played and there will be a winner.

I believe these same guys were talking this same kinda talk last year about SW. FS isn't SW but they play great defense and they are extremely fast and both of those hurt JC last year. They will play the game next weekend. Until then have fun talking.

Purple adoptee... that's what I'm trying to say. I think JC is a different bird. I guess FS will have to find that out first hand. Belfy is LOADED and JC almost won. I guess at least they have the chance to play them. I wish I could watch John play next week. It would have obviously been the same results.

Difference in the John Hardin vs Franklin Simpson game was QB play and Defense. Franklin Simpson QBs were great all night. Starting QB at one point was 7 for 7 on pass attempts. Johns QB play was awful. Once Johns QB begins to scramble, he doesn't have the ability to keep his eyes down field to find an open receiver and instead begins to scramble and ends up losing yardage more times than not. Johns defense was on the field way too much in the first half and wore down in the second half. John Hardin's offense only generated 126 total yards against Franklin Simpson and 62 of that came on a bad snap on a punt that was turned into a 62 yard pass by Punter Devonte Guillery. Thought overall that Franklin Simpson controlled the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball. Saw the Johnson Central vs Belfry game earlier this season streamed online and both of these teams have great defenses. Wouldn't be surprised if either team wins this one. I would call this one a toss up.

4A State Championship Game is now being played on Sun. Dec. 4th @3:45.

4:45 in Eastern Kentucky!

Johnson Central has played a much stronger schedule than Franklin Simpson and its only loss was a narrow one to one of the top 10 teams in the state. I predict a three touchdown win for the Golden Eagles but if JC gets out of the gates quickly, this game could turn ugly.

Johnson Central WEARS OUT FS and controls the tempo in this one! Watch out for some special ones on D liable to get LIT UP!!!

And you were also saying that your Tigers would do the same thing to Hazard this past Friday. We saw how that turned out. The Johnson Central staff and players know that this game will be a war and that it will go right down to the wire. I appreciate the support but some of these blowout predictions are just plain crazy.

You go ahead and put your eggs in that Strength of Schedule basket. You should use a lot of padding though. South Warren and John Hardin both have higher Strength of Schedule ratings than JC. FS is 3-0 against those teams.

And this trivia.

John Hardin never took a snap past the 50 yard line.

John Hardin ran 15 offensive plays in the second half.

Exactly. A snot gobbler.

How does FS strength of schedule compare to JC?

Ha...not well. According to CalPreps.

South Warren, as you know, is really good. They struggled terribly with injuries all year but were fully healthy for our playoff game.

Greenwood is much better than their rating. Being stuck in the district with BG is tough on them. That 50-0 whipping hurt them in a lot of ways.

John Hardin was freakishly athletic. It seemed the first half exhausted them mentally more than anything.

Our game with Caldwell Co was only a half. Big storm ended that one.

I expect Sunday to be a bullfight. Two physically and mentally tough teams swapping body blows.

If Johnson Central is THAT much better than FS up front, then, well..I need to see it. I know it's been touted that they have some grown men up front on both sides and no doubt they do, but so does FS.

What happened the other night in their game vs John was exactly what I thought might happen, and that was FS physically wearing them down w their size, strength and overall physicality. John was physical; they'd proven that their previous three games and vs the likes of Meade County and Central Hardin beating them earlier in the year (no matter the talent level of those two, they are always big and physical ), but FS was on a different level. You don't get to the semifinals playing the style that John plays by not being physical.

I've seen them both first hand (SW last year and FS this year), and up front (defensively especially) FS looked like a clone of the SW team of last year.

Per calpreps Franklin-Simpson SOS is a 6.7 and JC's is a 14, thus JC wins in the SOS catergory by a long shot. Franklin-Simpson best win was against the #2,176 ranked team nationally (Greenwood) while JC has 3 wins against higher ranked opponents (Capital, South Charleston, Lexington Catholic - all in top 2,000) and a loss versus Belfry (top 400).

JC's opponents combine W/L = 93-76

FS's opponents combine W/L = 84-83

JC wins here and their district schedule was terrible but had to be played.

Calpreps has JC ranked 6th in the state overall (#1 4A) and Franklin-Simpson 15th in the state overall (#2 4A)

On a neutral field Calpreps predicts the following Score:

JC 35

FS 19
