Should Lamar have run out of bounds on the second down play? In that situation with timeouts left I would rather have seen him try to make a play. If he gets tackled in bounds, call a time out.

And for all the talk in the game thread about Death Valley, guess what ... Death Valley made a play at the end that helped Clemson win when the noise caused that illegal procedure penalty.

I hear you, but I feel like there were ten of those in the game on both teams.

If we are going to talk about officiating, I want to know why there is no such thing as holding by an offensive lineman any more? Multiple times I saw Clemson linemen putting bear hugs on linebackers as the RB went right past them. That used to be holding.

Did Death Valley make the officials miss the obvious pass interference in the end zone?

Certainly could have been a factor

First half killed Louisville, no question.

50/50 call in real time. UL wins if Quick fights for one more yard.

I have no idea what Quick was thinking. He was no where close to the first down and basically just gave up running himself out of bounds without even trying to get the first down. It would have taken a great open field tackle by that defender to stop him if he tried for that first down.

This one and UGA / UT game were two of the best football games I have seen in a long time.

This game was two Great football teams. I questioned if UL could go into Clemson, death valley and stay with Clemson. UL did that and then some.

I watched the interview with D. Sweeny and D. Watson on the field after this one ended and it was two of the most class individuals, coach and player in CFB. With all that excitement they took time to compliment U.L., their players and not one chest thumping, all about me word spoken.

As for the game itself, it had everything ...great players, great coach and both teams made big plays and yes, made mistakes. I think it was #92, Clemson lineman that seemed to be in the Cards backfield more than their backs. Both Watson and Jackson showed why a lot of people, including myself consider them the best qb's in CFB.

I was glad that Clemson pulled it out only bc Dabo Sweeny is my favorite coach in the country. I do think that both Clemson and U.L. belong in the top 4 teams right now and if both win out then imo they should be in the playoff along with Ohio State and Alabama. Of course that's all subject to change, a lot of season left.

Listened to part of this one on my way home form the high school game I was at tonight. After I got home I caught bits and pieces of this this one as I was more into the Indiana win over Michigan State and I was sure Clemson would win this one. From what I got to see Clemson did not play well but still came away with a win. Really good teams do this, while pretenders don't.

You're an angry bitter man.

Agreed. Death Valley helped there but all of the talk about Death Valley was how UL had no chance in Death Valley and it looked to me like they fared very well in Death Valley. Folks are blaming Quick for the loss and not Death Valley. Did Death Valley help? Absolutely. Is it the reason Clemson won? No.

I am the happiest person I know, so once again you are wrong. But you are very consistent.

It had a major impact on the game. I'm not sure why you deny it? I still love you but dang.

I swear very thread I get on you're cheering another teams defeat. It's old. I'm not even a U of L fan but I could tell as soon as I started reading your post some sort of sideways dig was coming. Glad you got to get your jab at the UL folks in tonight. Hope it made the evening more enjoyable.
