6A Playoff Bracket

I couldn't find the 2016 bracket on KHSAA.org. The districts are below, how is the bracket structured this season? Are Regions 1 and 4 in the same bracket with 2 and 3 on the other side?

 

District 1 – Daviess County, Henderson County, McCracken County, Muhlenberg County, Ohio County

District 2 – Central Hardin, Meade County, North Hardin

District 3 – Butler, DuPont Manual, Male, Pleasure Ridge Park, St. Xavier

District 4 – Ballard, Eastern, Jeffersontown, Seneca, Trinity (Louisville)

District 5 – Conner, Cooper, Ryle

District 6 – Boone County, Campbell County, Simon Kenton

District 7 – Bryan Station, Henry Clay, Paul Laurence Dunbar, Scott County

District 8 – George Rogers Clark, Lafayette, Madison Central, Tates Creek

As an addition, if teams with the same seed meet in the regional final, districts 3, 4, 7, and 8, respectively, would host.

 

Regions II and IV will host state semifinal games.

So if I read this right Trinity could be hosting St X or Male in a semi-final game on Thanksgiving weekend. How cool would that be with a little turkey on the side!

If its T/X I'd still expect it to be at Papa Johns. But it would be awesome.

Gentlemen's agreement between Trinity and X that they won't ever play varsity football or basketball games at home sites unless there are absolutely no better alternatives.

Very much agree. That is why I said "could be" and not "will be". Lots of practice and football to be played before November rolls around!
