Goodman says Mick is now on his way back to Cincinnati.

Houston is the #10 TV market in the US.

I'd guess that the city of Houston already has plenty of UT fans, etc. so the Big 12 games are likely already on the Houston tv providers.

Uc pitch to Big 12 is to give the other teams one game a year to showcase in Ohio and recruit against ohio state.

Their facilities, even though basketball is behind are no where near mid major.

A) Nippert would be the biggest stadium in the MAC by 2,000 seats.

B) You're painting with too broad of a brush.

C) Facilities are worthless if they aren't able to be monetized. Again, UC's budget would fit within the MAC range. Akron's soccer facility is 5x what UC's is. Miami and BG have two of the finest Hockey arenas in the country.

UC is a large, regional, state institution. It is what it is. If they didn't have a historically great Basketball team, the expectations of the fan base wouldn't be so out of whack.

Put me in the group that even if the Big 12 expands, UC won't be invited.

I'm not throwing shade at UC, heck, as @gametime will tell you, many over there are good friends of mine. Whit Babcock was and is a good friend. I'm not guessing on this stuff.

Agree 1000% on all points.

There isn't a mid major program in the country raising 100 million dollars for ANYTHING!

Running out of time for this press conference today...

I'm sitting in the media room in the dark waiting. Hopefully someone shows up soon... :idunno:

Please don't wake Thor up before you go. Let him spend the night there. :thumb:

You know what other University is in the midst of a $100 million campaign to upgrade facilities and increase scholarships? Stony Brook.

Might have accidentally kicked him on the way out. Lights were off, after all... :walk:

Obviously there is some negotiating going on with UC or he would have already signed with UNLV. I guess it's just a matter of bringing the money to the table.
