formerkywrestler
I believe they have certain days of the year where it's open season on the hybrid pythons. All the pythons are invasive. I'd assume it's open season all year long.
formerkywrestler
Do the everglades still have a huge python issue? Remember watching a documentary a few years ago about how the large snakes were disrupting the ecosystem. One that will not be going away IMO. doubledeuce
I would send the gator a big bucket of raw chicken as a thank you but I like it better when he is hungry and hunting food.
theguru
How quickly can pythons move? The big ones move really fast in the movies but the experts say only about 1 mph in real life.
HammerTime
According to the locals yes. Additionally, you have more aggressive African Rock Pythons mating with larger Burmese Pythons and the fear is the genetic mixture will produce super Pythons that are large and aggressive. That's it, I've heard enough. Nuke that state.
UKMustangFan
How quickly can pythons move? Pythons can move up to 1 mph. Gators on the other hand can run about 11 mph. I can out run a python all day long. I'm screwed with a gator on my tail.

theguru
That's it, I've heard enough. Nuke that state. To expand on this point of the Pythons being a problem in Florida, this article is from yesterday: The stakes are high. Researchers already have blamed pythons for a 90 percent decline in small mammals — raccoons, opossums, marsh rabbits — in Everglades National Park. And they are not showing any signs of slowing their spread.
