On a serious note, I haven't read all the circumstances surrounding Brady destroying his phone but in terms of an investigation where you want to prove your innocence and you claim you have done nothing wrong destroying your phone makes zero sense unless there is incriminating information attached/contained in your phone.

At the very least, it is a terrible look. Even if it was completely innocent and harbored no incriminating information. No way to slice it.

Farve sends sexting photos to an NFL employee and does not turn over any evidence and is fined 50,000. Now you can argue that Farve did not effect the integrity of the game and Brady did ........but if air in the balls was such an integral part of the game why was the NFL so lax in enforcement and procedure?

Sorry but not buying that he went out to get the Pats just to please those two teams. He is/was very close with Kraft and also.knows Kraft is one of the most powerful influential owners in the league. He wouldnt go after him just to try smear the Pats name.

 

It's quite simple the Pats like to push things to the limit to gain any edge they can. However this edge effected the competitive balance and integrity to the game. So as the commish you have to be proactive to show that you won't let teams effect the integrity of the game.

 

Now at the end of the day Brady probably will win in court since there won't be proof. However at least he has shown he would do what he can to stop teams from breaking rules to get a competitive advantage. He did what he had to do, and Brady will ultimately probably miss no time.
