August 11, 201511 yr Has to be a pretty small list of pitchers that have thrown a shutout in both the American and National leagues in the same season, doesn't it? Cueto joined that list last night.

August 11, 201511 yr He's a joy to watch. Love watching him pitch, and you can tell he clearly loves to pitch. He's definitely has the showmanship down.

Off the top of my head, I'm guessing: CC Sabathia; Cliff Lee; Randy Johnson (when he was traded from SEA to HOU); Cueto I think CC actually led BOTH leagues in shutouts in the same season, which is super impressive.
August 11, 201511 yr I believe I heard he is the 6th to do it in the Wild Card era. Albie Lopez is one along with Cueto, Sabathia, Lee, and Johnson. Can't remember the other one
August 11, 201511 yr Did he put the "rocking chair" on 'em? Saw it at least a couple of times. Seems to me the last time, he looked over at the Tigers' dugout and smiled.
August 13, 201511 yr Hard not to be a Royals fan now for at least the next 3 months. Love to see Cueto enjoy the post season like he deserves to on a team that has a chance.
