February 5, 201511 yr You could be 100% correct. That is why I also said that if a fight occured earlier then what bothers me is the bad judgement to not head back to Lexington and get out of the hostile situation they put themselves in. With that said, the beer bottle doesn't change anything whether the fight took place earlier or not. I don't think just because there was a fight earlier and then later that night you are attacked you don't have the right to defend yourself. That is what I was saying. Yes but knowing walking into that Bar it's probably not going to end well doesn't give you the right to pick up a Beer Bottle and Smash someone over the head with it. Not self defense! So if he had a gun it would of been okay? I think not....The Beer Bottle slayer is in some serious trouble....IMO! Edited February 5, 201511 yr by THUNDERBIRDS
February 5, 201511 yr So my question is.... So if there was an earlier fight. Does Drew Barker press charges 1st or does he just use his case to come back as a "Well you jumped me 1st so I'm going to press charges now that we were attacked at the Bar" when charges are brought against him? To each his own here....Time to man and take responsibility for his(their) actions. Whoever is the guilty party is here needs to get over their egos and accept what penalties(suspensions) if any are handed down when they are handed down and get on with life.
February 5, 201511 yr Where's Clyde with the facts about multiple fights in multiple locations? Waiting on the video?
February 5, 201511 yr Drew got punched at 2:54 late Saturday/early Sunday. On video that police has shared with family to determine if they want to press charges. No clue where 8:00 Sunday night came from.

I'm betting some changes will be coming in terms of team rules, if they haven't already been put in place a long time ago. And I get it, that they are college kids. Heck my two kids that are/were at UK said they never went out before 11 because nothing goes on till then. Oh, but my kids weren't the football teams QB. Not that that should matter, but it does! Better choices kids!

Better choices kids! I doubt it is against team rules for any schools football team for a player to be out at 2:54 A.M. on a Sunday morning, unless maybe if it is during the season. If that would have been against the rules when I was in college than I would have been an almost weekly offender.

Actually, many programs have certain town areas, bars and party scenes that players are yes "banned" from. Div I football is year round, so the rules apply as long as you are on the team. You eventually have to choose what you like most "partying" or following the rules

So in the off season coaches are suppose to tell players they can't stay with friends? What world do some of you live in.

I'm guessing they should of headed back to Lex after the initial bar brawl instead of heading to EKU campus.
February 6, 201511 yr I'm truly amazaed at how soon we forget. In my case, it's a significant loss of brain cells brought about by...something, anyway.
