This thread has really opened my eyes. I'm shocked that so many underage college students are trying to drink and hang out in bars. Things have really changed since I was in school about twenty years ago. Back then a wild Saturday night was a few hours of studying in the library and then going back to the fraternity house where often somebody would try to spike the iced tea with sugar.

Excellent. :lol2: :thumb:

I bet they order water at McDonalds and put coke in it instead.

They are probably chronic jaywalkers too.

Hooligans I tell ya. Somebody better get a handle on this buffoonery.

He did get sucker punched from behind.

Since you only state facts, do you have a video of him getting sucker punched?

No. Video has been seen. Family deciding on next steps.

Saw one player drive past me in a 25 MPH zone. Had to be going 28. SMH...

@TimSullivan714: Richmond (Ky.) police still probing football bar fight. Declined open records request for surveillance video citing ongoing investigation.

The pregame altercation with Louisville. He was front and center in that one.

Hahaha that's an incident???????

I personally don't care if he had a weapon or not. If it is me in the bar and a 300 lbs lineman is charging me, I will use whatever I have at my disposal to stop him because I am over 100 lbs less than he is and would stand no chance. If it's a bottle, then it's a bottle.

Bingo. Reading this thread you would think some of you live in a bubble.

Sorry, but whomever started it doesn't matter. The guy that took a beer bottle to the guys face is in a world of trouble. That's assault with a deadly weapon.

Depending on the circumstances. It could very easily be self defense.

I don't know that, but I'd be shocked if one guy did that much damage to a dude that size.

Why would you be shocked you have already said you have avoided being in or around a fight for 28 years. So what level experience would you have to judge what type of damage a football player could do with his fists?

The big question here is: Was barker wearing his Zeke Pike Football Academy shirt?

I can tell you no player is getting removed for those especially when you consider the "firearm" from a legal standpoint is essentially a BB gun. Note: Before anyone reacts, no, I am not diminishing the fear many had due to the shutdown of campus.

It does sound worse though when you say "discharge of a firearm."

Details matter. Those are "show up at 5:00 in the morning, son, and do some more conditioning" offenses.

I've never considered the "discharge of a firearm" incident to have been a criminal act. Stupid, given today's heightened sensitivities to gun related incidents on campus. But a criminal act? No. Not close.

Here is a link to an article in the Lexington Herald this morning. No real new information, other than the below information.

The fight, which occurred at Jerzee's Cocktail Lounge & Dance Club on Jan. 25, left Scurry with a broken nose and facial fractures.

Additionally, there had been a fight earlier Jan. 25, about 8 p.m., between Barker and Patrick Graffree, an EKU defensive lineman who transferred from UK; the fight took place at EKU's Telford Hall, EKU spokesman Scott Cason said. Cason was referring to an EKU police report released Wednesday. An investigation into the fight between Barker and Graffree is ongoing, Cason said.
