Yeah its gonna be another big year as far as the numbers. Last year just seemed unusual in numbers bc of those big names/schools.

 

40 has been the average (actuallt 39.8) each of the previous 5 off seasons...I bet that number gets in reach or surpassed this year. There were 42 last year I believe.

I don't envision major movement in the greater Lexington area. Simpson @ Henry Clay, Parks @ Station, Rains @ Dunbar & Shaw @ Lafayette are all pretty solid where they are at from an outsider looking in. I have been hearing that TC will keep their interim coach on for next season, but that is not confirmed. Sims stepped in & was in a tough spot after Harmon left. Takes some time to win over a team when you are introducing new scheme, staff, etc.

 

Everyone else unless something major happens seems to be staying steady @ the moment. Both LexCath & LCA had first year coaches & they wont be going anywhere either. I could speculate about one job that I am thinking will open up in one of the surrounding counties just simply because the team hasn't come around to what the community expects, but that would be unfair to that coach, the team & the school, so I will keep my mouth shut on that one.

- CONFIRMED: Pelham, Alabama is open. Let go of Brett Burnett (Elizabethtown, Fort Knox and M-NH, I think) after 10 seasons. He was also AD there.

 

- RUMOR: Trinity will definitely have a new coach next year, win or lose. Has nothing to do with on-field performance, health or school issues. According to another message board, he is expected to get a different job not at a Kentucky high school.

 

If I'm reading this correctly, and I think I am, you're saying Beatty will be coaching in Alabama next year. Or, you are saying that is the rumor. Interesting rumor, but that's all I'd call it at this point.
