Conner 6th crushes St Pius 6th again

 

Conner 7th looses to St Pius by 14

 

Conner 8th on 8th grade night...last game at the Stable come up big and beat St Pius by 4. No dunks by Thelen in the game but he did throw down 3 two handed dunks in warm ups. Conner mixed it up with zone and man, they let Thelen get his but held the others in check. It was a great game and both teams played very hard.

 

Hopefully Conner can keep it going....they have a very good region to try to come out of.

Why wasnt Houston pulled up?

 

I have only seen Woodland once this season and it was against Highlands. The Birds looked downright dreadful and like I said the PG and Ty looked pretty decent.

 

It is doubtful that he will be going to Scott HS, that being the case a lot of times they don't bother like the kid a couple of years at SK, almost got kicked off the team when it got out he was going to transfer out when he became a freshman... Ty is a a beast, the new kid who is probably around 6'2" makes a big difference defensively and offensive put backs. It's difficult to penetrate and score...especially if you have a smaller squad. Their 2 guards play play good defense but they struggle scoring, especially from the outside. They scored Maybe 4 pts combined in 2 games against us.

Pius 6th has held their own with other schools this season, but do not match up well with Conner. Conner's tall guard (longer hair) is nice player.

 

Pius 7th made impressive comeback to win by large margin after being down 20 - 9 after 1st qtr.

Made something like 15/16 free throws in 2nd half.

 

Had to leave after 1st qtr of 8th grade game. Pius seemed to be in control with Thelen getting easy buckets. Kudos to Conner coaches for making necessary adjustments.

 

Conner v. Pius always a good atmosphere.

Beechwood 6th beat Campbell Co. B and Bracken Co. pretty bad this week in league play. I believe they have 2 games left in the regular season. Beechwood 6th will be playing in the St.Agnes tourney starting next week. The tournament looks to have some decent teams in it with Guardian Angel, Oak Hills, IHM and Visitation.

Conner vs IHM is for 8th grade, Conner 6th should be the number one seed and the 7th will be two or three.

Can anyone post the tournament bracket? Seriously, I cannot believe how secretive everyone is about the brackets... it is as though everyone is on a "need to know" basis... are the brackets subject to change? For years now I have said I don't understand this lack of information on NKMSAA results and scheduling....
