Beechwood 6th beat CC B team by a ton this morning in Ft.Mitchell. Playing in the lower divison has been an absolute waste of time. It does no one any good, Beechwood or the team they are playing.

Has BW 6th grade gotten to play in many tournaments? That might be the only way that they get some competition.

They played in the St.Ignatius Tournament over in Cincinnati and won that. They also played in the Woodfill Tournament and were runner up to Highlands. They are going to be playing in the St.Agnes Tournament soon.

Conner 6th wins another at KBA. Play at 8:20 pm for a shot to play in the sweet 16.

Conner 6th wins the night cap game. They are in the sweet 16 down at KBA. 58 teams entered this year. They will be without their starting point guard as he will not be available to play on Sunday. #4 has done a nice job handling the presses teams have been throwing at Conner. Hopefully a couple of the other players step up and fill the scoring gap as the little point guard was averaging double digits per game.

How did Campbell County 8th grade do?

Not sure about CC 8th as this was a 6th grade tournament. There was a team down there called Campbell which I assumed was CC but was wrong.

 

Conner lost today to Lincoln Co, team had very good size (width and height). Conner was missing their starting point guard which probably would not have made that much of a difference but probably would have been closer then the final of 50 to 26.

 

KBA does a good job with this event. Would have been fun to have IHM, HMS, and Beechwood down there too. Maybe next year for the 7th grade tourney.

Saw a good game last night as IHM 6th boys beat St.Pius in a close one, multiple lead changes.

 

It was refreshing, both teams played man-to-man the whole game . . . hmmm.

Conner sweeps Camp Ernst last night.

 

They are playing Ockerman tonight, 6th grade won...kids looked dis-interested in the game. Not sure about 7th or 8th as I had to leave.

 

Did read on the KBA web site the the guard for Conner Ethan Ginn made 1st team all tournament, nice achievement for the young man. Lots of good players down there.
