I believe he is headed to Park Hills. Next year's freshman basketball class at CovCath has the potential to be as good, if not better, as this year's class.

I would assume he would go to cov Cath, because he had go leave Latin to be with his twin brother who wanted to go to CCH (thats at least what I heard), but I also heard a rumor that he may go to st. Henry

Good luck to the young man no matter where he ends up.

Typical NKMSAA. The Districts (my guess east and west) according to my school schedule are supposed to start a week from today at ???? and at ????. After that the second round ???? plays ???? at ???? at ????. Then maybe both those 2 teams might advance to the Regionals to maybe play the other top two teams from the other district at ????time ????place. Then the finals Saturday at ??oclock at ????place.

The way I see the 8th lg sch in the west it should come down to the best 7-8 players on each of the top 4 teams with Gray and suprise Conner going to the regional.

In the east also IMO it could come down to 4 teams, but not so much the top 7-8 players but how their coaches decide to play them along with the benches. Holmes beats CC with the 3ball to win the district.

Watched a great game tonight. Ra Jones and Gray 8th Grade.

Ra Was down 10 at one point in the 4th. Then Came back and made it a game.

Think the final was 51-47 Gray.

Gray player was hurt in the first I hope he is ok.

Very impressive Gray team a parent told me they had only lost once.

Glad I stayed thru all 3 games.

Very impressive for RA. Did they get some transfers in? No offense, but there 7th team last year was not very productive against any of the "large" schools, and now a year later they are competing with Gray. Great for those young men!

Honestly I'm new to RA I knew a little bit about them from when my nephews played against them but they were never any good. I heard from the parents this current 8th grade team won 1 game last year and the same for the 7th.

7th are 9-9 I think

8th are 12-6

Was told they have a good coaching staff and they have made some ball players out of the kids from last year. I believe it after watching them tonight.

I heard Gray 8th has lost a few games including losses to Holmes and Twenhofel.

Not true. Gray's only loss in NKMSAA is to Holmes.

Wow! Did'nt know that Twenhofel beat Gray also. Twenhofel beat CC by about 10 at Twenhofel and lost to CC by 20+ at CC. If the east districts are at Twenhofel they could win it.

Twenhofel did not beat Gray. Gray's only loss is to Holmes on a last second shot.

In 7th grade, they are not having districts according to our schedule. They are going straight to regionals.

Each grade level has the same format. It amounts to a 14-team tourney (Big School). Each side of the bracket is basically the district championship. The district winners will then play in the Finals (East v. West) on Finals Saturday (scheduled for Feb.14th). The tourney games are scheduled for Mon. - Thurs. (2/9 - 2/12). Seeding for tourney is still undecided with games to be played this week. All game results are due this Friday morning to league director. Finals Saturday (2/14) is being held at Summit View (Big School division).

I stand corrected, I was thinking of Twenhofel beating CC when I stated Gray lost to them.

Highlands defeated Twenhofel out in Independence 3 weeks ago and will play the rubber match tonight at the Birds Nest. Should be a big crowd as its the last home regular season game.

Didn't Beechwood's 8th grade beat Gray? I heard they did.
