I'll bet you were!! I was devastated.

I am waiting for the Bengals to win the Super Bowl. Then I will cry unashamed and the good Lord can take me if he wants.

That was a battle and I know it had to be hard to see that season end JD. I thought Somerset had the better team too.

 

Last time to see my son and his classmates in uniform after a two year run of 27-2 to end their high school careers. Had my wife, daughter and the HC's wife in my car on the way home...I think we all took turns sniffling on the way home. Probably less than 100 words spoken from Belfry to Somerset that night.

I cried when Dale Earnhardt won the Daytona 500.

 

This one got me too.

Not enough people talking about the "tears of joy" part of this. Most everybody, typically, is still focused on painful stuff like Duke-UK 92. I've never cried out of disappointment; only from the joy of witnessing a special moment.

 

Think about the good ones!

This past May. My daughter closed out her softball career one game short of the State Finals. 8-7. She gave it her all and finished 1-2, game tying double in the fifth after trailing by 5 in that inning, then drew a 9 pitch walk to start off her last inning and she represented the tying run. Rally died three batters later.

 

I tearfully told her after everyone was gone: " I want to thank you for taking me on this unforgettable run called softball and sharing it with us through all these years." Crap. Cried again. :walk:

I've never cried due to the result of a game I was watching. Plenty of "moments" where I cried but I cry easily. Teared up seeing Jeter leave today.

 

I did cry every year when my high school season ended.

The Earnhardt wreck at Daytona, not really because I was a Nascar fan; but my dad was a huge Earnhardt fan and I can count on my right hand how many times I've seen my dad cry. It was like a family member had passed at my house when they announced that Dale Earnhardt had died from that wreck.

Always have, always will, but rarely in defeat. I get emotional over anything I'm fully invested in.

Chris Antley pulling up Charismactic. The replays to this day still get me everytime. Even thinking about it gives me chills.

At every Bengals home game over the last 10+ years when they play the National Anthem. My dad

was a veteran of WWII and passed a while ago. Two things he loved dearly were his country and attending Bengals' games. The combination of the two gets me every time.

Never during a game or because of a game's outcome. Never because of anything I see during a game on TV.

 

However, at live games, I tear up during the Hero of the Game presentation, National Anthem, the Alma Mater, and "My Old Kentucky Home" (even at Louisville).

I wasn't counting that initially, but I tear up every year during "My Old Kentucky Home" on Derby Day.

Watching some of my kids' T-ball games made me cry. (Cry in the sense of going crazy with boredom.....yours truly was perhaps not the best parent around.)
