Has a Sporting Event Ever Made You Cry?

Featured Replies

I mean outside of the final game of your playing career.

I remember as a kid, the Bengals got beat so bad one game that I went to my room a cried for awhile.

As an adult I cannot ever remember crying but I am a big horse racing fan and there were a couple races where I got a lump in my throat because I thought I was witnessing greatness.

Nothing I can remember although I came close when Go For Wand had to be destroyed when she was inured in a Breeder's Cup race while battling Bayakoa.

1992 - UK/Duke game.

I was at that game. Skipped my classes in college, spent the whole day in Philly, bought scalped tickets for $20. Never dreamed I'd eventually live in Kentucky, and had no idea at the time as to how big UK basketball is in KY, and how this game would affect so many people for so long.

AZ/UK for me I was shocked and a kid.

That was my crying game as well. I was so bummed.

Eight Belles at the Derby hurt me real bad as well.

HS Senior Night is as close as I ever get.

I was there next to the Winner's Circle.

Teared up in the final seconds of the National Championship game last year.

Tiny Hickory High School v. Muncie

Never when I played.

But I cried when my oldest played his last game in the regional tournament, scored 34 but lost. The hug after the game was one of the best moments of my life, can't really explain why.

When Secretariat won the Triple Crown, I welled up, and when Eight Belles went down.

The pride you felt for him.
