I don't know the young man but hard to believe he wouldn't consider a transfer if it were available. Deep roots or not. Other schools also offer a Catholic education if that's the primary factor.

I am strongly against allowing transfers but this situation might be one that makes me re-think my stance.

 

What about a kid that loves football but chose BB over NCC to get more snaps? Should he be punished for attending a school that failed to maintain the program (if that really happens)?

 

I though that if the school you were attending didn't offer a certain class or program, (in this case football) that you could either 1) transfer without penalty to the new school or 2) stay at the current school but participate in the program at the new school.

I thought there were some examples of that in LaCrosse and Wrestling

I asked a similar question in another thread and was told that financial problems are at the root of Brossart's difficulties. Is it possible that more than just the football program is at risk here?

I though that if the school you were attending didn't offer a certain class or program, (in this case football) that you could either 1) transfer without penalty to the new school or 2) stay at the current school but participate in the program at the new school.

Are you saying in #2 that my boy can go to Highlands and play football and then head to CCH and play LaCrosse or wrestle. Sweet!

Saw this coming a mile way after all that has taken place the past week.

What is the likelihood of them even fielding a team now? No coach, the worst time of the year to try to find a coach (and staff), and extremely low numbers. Even if a new kid was considering to give football a shot, this is certainly enough to change his mind. And what coach in their right mind would even consider taking this job?? If football goes away this year, I have a hard time believing it could ever come back.

They have averaged about 10 guys at their workouts.
