PurplePride92
I'm curious as to what Jay's role was in the negotiations. From what I found out they were minimal but when the deal was falling through earlier this morning it was all Jay Z's fault. He was not the lead negotiator in this contract. PurplePride92
From what I've read it was CAA agent Van Wagenen who handled the entire process. Just saw this post. I was headed to google to get that dude's name. I knew it was Van something.
HammerTime
Can't wait to see ticket prices in 5-10 years. As long as my DTV price is the same I don't care.

stickymitts
Disagree. We've been hearing that since Andy Messersmith signed his deal. They said the same when Babe Ruth's contract was higher than the President's. Now the vast majority of MLB players make more.

woodsrider
Pujols is worst I disagree. If Cano repeated his first 9 years for the next 9 he isn't worth this contract. At least with Pujols you thought you could expect another few years of 30+ HR's and triple digit RBI's. Pujols' worst year is still better then Cano's best year. What I don't understand is Cano is not going to be better than he is right now for 10 years. He may not be better than he has been in any year. 24 HR, .309 AVG, .355 OBP That's not $24 mill a year.
