The two teams have only met 6 times and all have been in the last decade. Tigers hold a 3-0 playoff record against this Warren East team but the Raiders are 2-1 in regular season matchups. The most recent meeting was a 33-12 victory for the Raiders at home last year.

2 mutual games thus far

Tigers 32 at Greenwood 34

Raiders 21 vs Greenwood 14  (at Barren Co)

Tigers 40 vs Christian County 7

Raiders 55 vs Christian County 6

Warren East will travel to the Stadium of Champions with kickoff being at 2pm on Saturday. The 4-1 Raiders are coming off an alarming 68-0 victory over Calloway County on homecoming, according to War Productions on X that was the largest margin of victory in school history. Unsure of the reasoning to make a mockery of one of the worst teams in the state, not a good look but to each their own. The 4 year starter Dane Parsley has shown a lot of improvement at the Quarterback position, after a monster Sophomore season his performance last year was very average. The success through the air is in large part to some talented players at his disposal, Lightfoot was a known necessity for the Raiders but Romario Johnson has been fun to watch as well. The rushing attack has been rooted around Jackson McCool and he has taken advantage of the opportunity, not as dangerous as Parsley’s QB runs which hasn’t been a large part of the offense this year thanks to the efficiency from McCool. The defense hasn’t necessarily been tested the last two weeks since letting up an egregious 60 points in their lone loss to Barren County.

Hopkinsville is coming off a 56-0 loss to the hands of one of the top teams in KY. They are 1-4 and have this one circled as a game they believe they can win. John Aiden King is a solid HS Quarterback tossing 10 TD’s this year with a very good WR in Treston Kay being on the receiving end of 6 of those. The running game is a 3 headed attack with the QB, and a little bit of smash and dash with Moses and Bradley splitting touches in the backfield. On defense you get more of the Moses and Bradley combination as they both lead the team in tackles. I’m curious to see if the secondary can hang with these Warren East WR’s, I think they have a good chance to do so and if they can this game will be very interesting.

Outside of the mutual matchups the strength of schedule is severely lopsided, with Hopkinsville already facing Mayfield, Clarksville and Tilghman, that could play a factor in this game. Another possible shootout for this Warren East team? I believe so. I don’t see the Raiders losing but certainly closer than what the records may project. If the Tigers want to win this game the recipe would be get a couple of stops on defense and milk the clock, the Raiders defense has been susceptible to the run and the one game they’ve been tested in the air led to allowing 60 points.

Warren East 42 Hopkinsville 34

I'll take Warren East 56-35

This game is 2pm on 9/28.

Your question sparked my curiosity and sure enough they do have the game listed.

14-0 Raiders in 1st Q.

Raiders strike quickly after a muffed punt from Hopkinsville.

Hopkinsville drove the field and scored to make it 14-6

Proceeding drive, Parsley strikes for about a 50 yard TD to Lightfoot.

20-6 Warren East , mid 2Q

Hopkinsville with a short run to cut the defeicit.

2 pt succesful

20-14 WE - almost halftime

Getting a little tight.

Have a day Dane Parsley.

BOMB TD  to Lightfoot.

27-14 WE 2Q

Hopkinsville scores as time expires but is negated by a block in the back.

27-14 WE at the half

Thoughts at half:

Parsley is clicking with passing game. Receivers are getting open for him and his throws have been on point.

Hopkinsville has WE out-athleted at most positions but are getting in their own way a bit.

East will have to keep their foot on the pedal because I think Hopkinsville can move the ball relatively easy on the Raiders.

Thanks for the updates BN!

In your opinion, what is Warren East's ceiling this year?

At best, second place in district. But I'm struggling there too because of how well ACS competed with PT.

This game is not over as Hoptown just scored to make it 27-20 East mid third Q
