A few years ago when Dave Brossart was coaching CCH a HHS poster (or Guru - can't remember) came up with the term "Park Hills Mafia" to refer to 4 people that, incorrectly, he thought wielded some sort of influence at CCH. The name stuck and now has been adapted to the Ryle fans. No clue who might be in the Union Mafia though.

Union Mafia is not a very select group. Any parent with a complaint about a coach qualifies and will be listened to.

Its Boone Co though, they have tough Teacher policies and with very few, if any teaching jobs open at Ryle at this point, that will lead many to not even apply.

 

For the Boone job last year, the Superintendent said hire the best coach available and their will not be any issues on a teaching position.

Just thought I would help you out. Lol! Did a quick search and indeed it was a CCH guy that first used the term Park Hills Mafia". You are correct with he listed 4 people. Pretty good reading actually.

Guess they can remove Weinrich from their list of potential candiates!

Wow, seems to been really quiet with this.

Looks like the TCM has a tight grip on all in control at Ryle. They obviously have to have their guy in place and conducting workouts and conditioning. Why such tight lipped at this point? What are they hiding? Kind of comical and embarrassing at the same time.

I would bet it is coach Woolf. He always ran them in the past. And he is the kind of person who would do whatever he could to help the kids. Back in 2007 he let the players that would be going to Cooper in the fall come to the workouts.

Correct PC. Coach Woolf graciously agreed to run workouts and all is proceeding as normal thanks to him and an excellent weight-training staff. The search committee was formed, AD Jim Demler and committee do an outstanding job of maintaining confidentiality and interviews will no doubt start very soon. I do not expect any leaks and all BGPers will probably find out about Ryle's new coach about the same time. I have no idea of expected announcement date- guessing within 3-4 weeks????
