I really hope the sophomore class does tear it up as juniors. We were told if you remember that England was going to be the best RB in the state last year.

 

They put him at WR only threw the ball to him a couple of times. Let him play QB in the playoff game and dixie before that he looked good. Being good on a bad team doesnt showcase you much.

I have heard that, but I honestly can't confirm who. I was told it was a ex UK QB. Thats as much as I know.

Didn't completely answer the question. I by no means know if he has the job. Nobody does. I think he's showing he will improve the staff if it's him.

I'm telling you and anyone else who would listen. If the new Ryle coach is on here, Collin England would could be by his senior year the best TE in the entire state with his size and hands if they played him there. He's not a RB, he's perfect for a TE and would be a great one if you ask me.

 

Just my 2 cents worth. He has the size and strength to be a good blcoking TE but even a better pass catching TE. Could use him in so many different ways at TE.

Who is Mike Parker? I am not familiar with him. Is Letton still trying to coach? Do we know why he stepped away from LC?

I love Mike he's a great guy and coach but I don't know if the Power Rangers think he has a high ceiling at this point.

I agree. But shouldn't it be about what's really best for the team, then the kids, not the power hungry parents.

As a highly involved parent at Ryle since 2001 when my daughter began high school there , I saw no negative program-changing impact by parents during Bryson's tenure. Things were done his way to his credit. Many disagreed with certain aspects of coaching, but Bryson's decisions were firm and final. This Power Ranger/TCM stuff is a bunch of excrement and had nothing to do with the coaching change. I would say parents have done more good for a football program at Ryle to help an entire school than any other in NKY. How about raising $956,000 to renovate a stadium? That was a football parent-driven initiative and many other parents from football and other sports gave generous donations to team up with the major gift from Mrs. Borland, a Ryle grandparent. There are a few loudmouth parents in every crowd, but I find the parents to be very supportive at Ryle. The new coach will do well with a good staff and some offensive creativity.

I can agree with the good parents have done. But I personally heard parents calling for a coaching change from early on in the year. I'm sure a few of them had the kahunas to call the AD and add to the fire. I think there was "some" influence there. They of course didn't have the final say. I wasn't happy with the offense either, but not at the point of letting the coach go at this point. Make him get a true OC and these issues would have been resolved. A coaching change for soon to be seniors and juniors at this point could do more harm than good to their careers. We'll have to see how this soap opera plays out. Hopefully for the best. I just wasn't on-board with the wholesale change. And I think some of the parents are and were out of line. Support with your money is fine and great and extremely needed but should be given from the heart. You shouldn't assume it buys you influence. IMHO

Parents at Ryle have agendas. Are you saying, as a parent, you never spoke to other parents about wanting to get rid of Bryson Warner or Allan Mullins or Patti Oliverio? Are you saying they never spoke to administration? I think all of this talk about TCM is more legit than you give credit.

We agree to disagree about the TCM influence vs. many other factors as the reason for the coaching change. As to the thread topic, Mike Woolf is the only favorite I know because he is the only person that I'm sure applied. I really have no idea who will be selected or when, but would expect a decision in the next couple of weeks. My thoughts are the same as in Post #20 and everyone is looking forward to the announcement. Strength and conditioning workouts are going well thanks to Coach Woolf and other dedicated assistants.
