We should keep this on the new coach but....

 

Bryson was not retained for one reason: the product on and off the field was not satisfactory. It happens. Parents who may have complained didn't CAUSE the problem. They reacted to the problem. The principal isnt going to replace a coach who is doing well. Why would he? You think he enjoys going through the hiring process?

I thought BW's biggest mistake during his tenure was holding the Open House. I have a ton of respect for Bryson as we are both from the "old school", but I could never coach in today's environment. Parents are just crazy these days.

Okay, go with that one. If I was Coach Woolf, that wouldn't enter into my mind. Anyway, there has to be a "legend" first right?

You seem to be "sensitive to both situations." Congrats on your vested interests tbg. Like the many who saw Weinrich as an easy choice to receive the reigns from Mueller. Many Ryle faithful see Woolf fulfilling the same capacity. Both may do well and should.

 

Wirth in the mix may be prolonging the decision, as it should.

As much as I would hate to Wirth see Park Hills, I hear that it is happening. He has a young family who he needs to take care of. So this isn't a bunch of gibberish. Wish Coach Wirth the best with his decision.

I hear that and respect that. If Ryle had an outstanding winning record over these past few years, it would definitely help Woolf's chances. But if that were true, Warner would still be the coach. Instead, the recent record works against Woolf just like it did Warner.

Much respect to Woolf, but Wirth may be one of the best defensive minded coaches in the state. Wirth, if rumors are true, is front runner for the job.
