There was a rumor in the late-90's/early-00's when Max Montoya was coaching at Beechwood that Montoya was bringing on Sam Wyche to help coach the Tigers. .....we all see where that went.

Well I knew that one wasn't true because I was working with Wyche at that time.......but this Wirth story has more leg.

I'm 99% sure one of the coaches interviewed will be/was a local assistant. I think another is from a public school in Louisville.

There is a possibility that Dave applied. If he did apply, I believe several things to be true: 1) He would have been interviewed, unless he changed his mind and declined the interview. 2) He would not have told TOG or anyone. 3) Jimmy D and the selection committee at Ryle would not have leaked info.

Nope. They gave the players questionnaires. Asked questions about what they would like to see in the new coach. What traits would be positive, negative. Don't know how much their input will weigh in on the decision. My response would have been a coach who hates end of practice sprints. LOL

I would place very little value . I wouldn't even put out a questionnaire.

I'm with Clyde. I don't believe I would put out a survey to the players. My list would consist of a lot of fun things I wanted. Pizza after practice, no sprints, More carries etc,etc,etc

I would agree with tough decision. Most thought it would be February before a decision was rendered due to the quality of candidates including Coach Woolf.

Hopefully they do the right thing and give Coach Woolf a shot.
