AMEN

This is all the more reason for conceal carry in every state.

I would guess that this is occurring most often in areas that are least likely to allow for conceal carry such as New York and Chicago.

Various people at random are chosen. Just so happens the article was about a group (Jews)

The game is simple, horrific and brutal. It's essentially a planned, deliberate attack: One or more kids strike a random target, regardless of age or gender, trying to knock them out with one punch. Often times, the attacks are videotaped for later enjoyment

From the article in the OP:

“It’s ‘knockout,’ and it happens to be a Jew in each and every case,” State Assemblyman Dov Hikind (D-Brooklyn) said.

I don't start fights, and I'm too old to take a butt-kicking for no good reason. If they want to play this game with me then in the words of Omar from The Wire: "If you come at the king, you best not miss..." Lord help them if they miss on their swing.

And it wouldn't be the first time the "victims" won out: Who got knocked out?

Hopefully, he's the first of many.

More people will get shot. More juries will acquit. To quote Ecclesiastes, "there is nothing new under the sun."

I saw this yesterday and it is just sickening. Makes me mad to no end and I just wish these idiots could have the living crap kicked out of them.

I saw this on the news tonight. These idiots need to have the hell beat out of them! Knock them out and hope they don't wake up. What a sick society we live in. There's a lot of idiots out there.

I would love for one of these punks swing at me or someone else who can take a punch!

This is all the more reason for conceal carry in every state.

Concealed Carry certainly doesn't hurt, but I don't know that it will help either. You have to be able to draw your gun to use it. These attacks come out of nowhere, and if you don't see it coming, you'll either be out cold, or won't be able to draw in time or with a clear enough head to use your weapon. Your best defense is to be aware of your surroundings, and carry yourself confidently.

If you're carrying, you should already be very aware of your surroundings. One fool already got themselves shot by picking the wrong guy. I get your point, though. Sad thing is, it's likely to take quite a few of these punks to be shot before they figure out it's not a good idea anymore.

To your point, experienced, trained concealed carries do probably are less likely to be targeted because they are aware of surroundings and carry themselves confidently. The fact that you have to worry about stupid stuff like this anyway, is a sad statement.

The pure randomness of these attacks are what makes them so hard to defend. I don't care how tough you are, or whether you think you can take a punch or not, if you just get randomly attacked and caught with a hard, clean blow, out of nowhere, there likely won't be much you can do to defend yourself or retaliate.

I was talking to one of the lead detectives Friday night at the Highlands/CCH game and he said that the "Knockout game" is what the group of young adults were playing a few weeks back when they were having problems with assault attacks in Ft Thomas. This is unbelievable to think that I can't walk down my street and not be worried that someone is going to take a cheap shot at me or a innocent kid. I got news for you, you better knock me out.....Because if you don't, you are going to need a plastic baggy to pickup all of your "Chicklets" when they get kicked out.

My game is called "Kicked Out".....LOL!

Yep... I was going to respond to UKfan's post, but this sums it up. If somebody throws a hay maker at you, and you aren't expecting it, the chances of you staying on your feet are slim and none. I don't care how much you think you can take a punch.
