The key is armed. At that point the law would recognize your life is in danger and you would be permitted to fire away. On the other hand, if an unarmed person was in your car trying to disengage the steering column lock to steal your car and you shot him, you would be in jail longer than he would.

Agree on the rock thing. I live in San Antonio and if my car is rocked, the first thing coming to my mind is that it's a couple of people trying to make me stop so they can rob me.

He misses and she ends up getting on top of him getting shots in, right before a guy runs in and kicks the would-be attack squarely in the face.
