February 27, 201313 yr Where did u find those at? eBay? Driver was on eBay. Much lower price than those - even used - generally sell for. On the lookout now for a comparable 3-wood; then I'm set for the season. Irons were a Christmas present, purchased at Golf Exchange in Florence.
February 27, 201313 yr Not sure about you guys but I really dot care about the type of golf ball I use. Most of the time I just buy the recycled 50 count for $14.99. What about you guys, u all use a certain kind or does it matter? I like the Nike Vapor Blacks.
February 27, 201313 yr I'm not good enough to be real picky about the golf balls I use. Just can't be high compression, because I'm old and weak. I guess my favorites are Srixon AD333s - the price is right and they fit my sad little game.
March 19, 201313 yr It was beautiful here in Lawrenceburg Saturday (3/16) so I took my recently regripped clubs out with my just repaired driver with new oversized grip and got 18 holes in. Afetr a couple of orevious sessions at the driving range and just hitting the ball terribly and having played a few holes the previous weekend and almost walking off the course hitting the ball so poorly, I actually played pretty well and posted a decent score for this early in the year. Take into account the wind was blowing about 20mph and I missed about 5 par putts 3 foot and shorter, I was fairly pleased. I got my handicap down to 15 last year and I really feel I'm going to have a big breakthrough this year. I hope I can bring that to furition...it won't be from lack of trying I can tell you that.
March 25, 201313 yr Author Well took out golf clubs the other day in the yard and tried hitting a few. Man I sucked. Don't know if it was the few months off, the lack of being able to put a lot of pressure on my right foot but it was bad. Can't wait until it starts warming up consistently to get out there.

March 25, 201313 yr I played this weekend. Hit it ok. New driver and I aren't one yet. Titleist 913 D3, a bit finicky. Leaving for Destin after Church Easter Sunday and staying at a golf resort. Plan on playing every day. Happy, Happy, Happy!
March 26, 201313 yr Work golf league at Twin Oaks starts in two weeks!!! Jealous, I love that course. Question, has anyone switched from graphite to steel shaft irons? If so, how do you like/hate it?
March 26, 201313 yr I'll be at Augusta on Wednesday the 10th. Can't wait! Have you ever been? I went in 2011 for the first time. Augusta National is everything it's cracked up to be and more. You hear people say, "TV doesn't do it justice." It's so true. The entire place, not just the golf course, is unbelievable. Even the restrooms are nice!
March 26, 201313 yr I haven't yet, may in the future as I get older, but here is the major difference as explained to me. The graphite shafts in the irons help dampen the vibrations that are generated when the club strikes the ground, thus far less vibrations are transfered to your hand's/arms, which is much better on your joints, which may be especially important to someone who is older. Outside of that, I've been told they don't really add anything and some of the shafts can be quite expensive when compared to a decent steel shaft for irons.
