Me too, let my ribs heal, been about 4 weeks I think. Either playing Sunday or monday I think.

Playing in the Highlands Basketball Outing at Flagg Springs today. I have never played this course, can anyone offer any insight?

I got bad news for you Q...wear a helmet. I always get stuck in playing in 1 or 2 outings there a year that I dread. You are looking at 5 to even 6 hour round for a scramble if they have 25 or more groups in the scramble. A lot of the holes are right on top of each others so you will have balls flying around at sometime during your round. The conditions are never very nice in my past experiences there. It is my least favorite track in NKY next to Meadow Wood of course!! Sorry for the bad news..hopefully your experience will be better than mine has been over the years.

I'm guessing Flagg Springs, Hickory Sticks and all the other NKY Publics will benefit a lot the rest of this year from AJ Jolly's closing. I'm sure there are a lot of outings that have had to be moved.

You should be good then Q unless of course your 20 foursomes are on one 9 and they have another outing of 20 foursomes starting on the other nine..LOL...I did play an outting there once that had 40 foursomes...2 to every hole and 3 on 4 holes...talk about a long day..you are right it's a beautiful day and free beer you can't go wrong. I'm getting ready to head out to Eagle Creek. It's been forever since I've played and it wasn't a sauna on the links.

That sucks. But actually reminds me of a question I've been meaning to ask, how late in the year are golf courses in NKY usually opened? With this being my first year playing I'm trying to get a timeline in my head as to how much longer I might be able to play.

Perfect day for drinking beer and playing golf, may be the best day so far this summer with the nice temps. Enjoy.

One of my foursome didnt show and we played his ball as an extra shot rotating. Shot 10 under on the "Goat Ranch" Flagg Springs. What a terrible course, you were right Shutitdown, I heard FORE all day long and the greens were fuzzy and just awful. Still a great time as I knocked back several cold ones and ate a nice steak dinner. The team raised great money and it was a good showing but I would never pay to play at that course.

Right now my plan is to play atRaven Rock tomorrow. Hoping to go early.

It is funny you say that because that is what you always hear from people when they play in an outing at Flagg Springs!! They must be cheaper on outings than the other NKY public courses to attract the outings that they do.
