How much slice? Is it still playable, or does it end up two holes away? :lol2:

Depends on how wide the fairway is...haa

Try this (if you are right-handed):

Put down two clubs with your target in the middle of them. Take your stance parallel to the clubs, then sightly close your stance. You will feel like you are going to slice it even more, but if your swing is ok, you should hit it pretty good.

Also make sure your right elbow isn't "flying" with you get to the top of your back swing. Try to keep that elbow as close to your body as you can.

If that doesn't work, take 2 weeks off the game then quit. :D

I'm having the same problem. Will try these tricks next time I'm at the range.

Plan on going Saturday as long as it doesn't rain. Found a couple of videos on tips to limit the slicing of the ball. Gonna try out the grip turn first.

Having trouble with your irons? I suggest you try some Adams hybrid set. Extremely easy to hit.

I hit my irons fine for the biggest part.

Driver game is what kills me more often than not.

Today was the day fellas. It was a good day.

Played Ft mitchell CC today and shot 92. Not my best but actually not bad due to the amount of times I was in the trees and tried to advance it and the trees knocking it straight down or back at me. Maybe one day I will learn to take my medicine. Actually the last few holes I started to hit in the fairway, which always helps.

Short and straight as usual. Just happy to get out. Shot 82 at Laurel Oaks in Maysville; old man tees. Could have been better (I always say that); missed every single makeable birdie putt (4 inside 10 feet); but that tends to even out over the long haul.

Bought a used set of Taylormade irons over the weekend as well as a hybrid Callaway 3 and a Nike Sasquatch driver. Got out today and played and really liked the new irons. Hoping to get to play again Sunday.

Always like to see a fellow MSU-er enjoy success.:thumb:

Love those Eagles, was there 72-76 and never wanted to leave.

Best score for me at Hickory Sticks is 82 or 83, but I can't play from the tips. I'm old, short and straight.

Played for 35 years and usually shoot mid to high 80's. Best Round ever at Hickory Sticks last year, shot 77 and was 1 under on back nine. The 1st and only time I have ever shot par or better on 9 holes. I wish I knew what I was doing because played two days later and was back to 87.

Wonder if our paths cross. I was Sig Ep and in Education

Short a 44 on the front of KC Pioneer. Missed too many putts! Greens were very inconsistent though.
