How does Mccarron not make QB for this team.

Peterman 5-18 for 24 yards and 2 int’s

To go with his 5 picks in a half last year. I can’t beleive AJ isn’t better than that.

It's very simple. They drafted a qb in first round. So either McCarron or Peterman would be cut whoever didn't win the job.

McCarron got the start in the 2nd pre season game. Got hurt on just the 2nd series of the game. Peterman replaced him and played well. Game 3 which is a dress rehearsal for the season McCarron still wasnt cleared to play yet. The rookie got the start and the Bengals tore him up. Peterman came in and did well in that one.

McCarron finally got cleared for the 4th pre season game when it's all backups. But by then his fate was sealed since he basically got only one series with starters in the pre season since he got hurt right away in game 2 and wasnt cleared yet from the injury for game 3. And Peterman did decent in the preseason. The injury McCarron got all but sealed his fate.

They saw Peterman last year in real games and he was terrible. They saw AJ play in real games including a playoff game. There is no way Buffalo should have kept Peterman over McCarron.

If the Bills thought McCarron was better than Peterman, he'd still be on the roster. End of story. McCarron got cut because he's not any good.

I can't figure out why AJ gets so much love. A few average performances in a handful of starts in the NFL, and spent his college career as a game manager at a school that hasn't turned out a good NFL QB since the 1960's. I wouldn't be surprised if he's out of the league next year.

His fate was sealed as soon as he got injured in the 2nd pre season game on the second series. Meaning he played 2 series with starters, since he wasn't cleared for game 3. People can ignore that all the want, but the reality is that sealed his fate. Especially since Peterman during those games McCarron couldn't play actually play well. So there was no reason to keep him, especially since they drafted their QB of the future.

It's simple. McCarron like Dalton needs a lot of help around him to do well. As we seen with Dalton when he doesn't have a lot around him, he usually isn't that good. The main reason he is still a starter in the NFL, is because Dalton showed you can win with him as long as you have a lot around him. Dalton would have been a backup by now if he came into the league with what he had to work with the last 2 seasons.

So people saw how McCarron who does need a lot of help around him too. Was able to perform better in the type of games that Dalton typically has struggled in. How McCarron even with no experience was able to make plays even in a playoff game, that Dalton still has yet to do in 4 playoff games. No one has said McCarron is the next great thing. Just that he may have gave them a better chance when it matters most. Especially since he already did do that, even though he didn't have the experience of Dalton. So would assume he would just get better with experience.

At the end of the day Dalton and him both are guys who need a lot around them to do well.

Didn't Peterman only play a total of 3 quarters in those games he played last year? At the end of the day McCarron getting hurt sealed his fate, especially since Peterman actually had a decent preseason.

You can keep saying that all you want. If the Bills thought McCarron was a better QB than Peterman, he'd have made the roster, regardless of whether or not he was able to play in the 3rd preseason game. Heck, if he were even half the QB some think he is, there wouldn't have even been a QB competition, he'd have been given the job.

He didn't make the team, and will be out of the league soon, because he's not any good. End of story.

There was no reason for them to think he was the better QB. He had only 4 games on film and never played for them. While they did draft Peterman. He had to show he was the better QB, and that injury didn't allow him to show it. Once again ignore it all you want, that injury sealed his fate. He couldn't play, while Peterman actually did perform well in the preseason. So might as well keep the cheaper option. Especially when in the long wrong it won't matter, since whoever one it was just a fill in until Allen was ready.

I would be willing to make an avatar bet with you that he is in the league at least 5 more years if not more. Since we both have been on here a long time. I assume we both will still be around 5 years from now to honor that bet lol.
