Edgar on multiple instruments, with Ronnie Montrose and Rick Derringer on guitars. The shorter, recorded version was briefly a #1 hit in 1973 and one of my first 45's.

 

My granddad was a big band guy. This drove him :taz: when I played it.

I worked for a band (Tangent) back in the early 80's and we fronted Edgar Winter at "Brassy's" in Cocoa Beach Fl. Man, we had a killer set and thought we killed it. Then they escorted Mr. Winter on stage and they blew us off the map. Flat out killed it. They were so talented and we were mesmerized watching them. What a show. Good times.
