allsport71
Nice addition, it is not a bad basketball conference. Uc is usually pretty good, Memphis and UConn both had bad years but is usually pretty strong, it seems SMU and Houston are improving and UCF had a very good year and it seems Temple gives everyone fits. NEERFAN
Hopefully some of the other schools can stay consistent and/or improve. UC, SMU, WSU, Memphis and UConn sounds decent on paper.
swamprat
President Genshaft probably said, "Basketball?? Sure, why not? Whatever. Where is that $100 million donation check for the new intestinal track research center?"
Walter
Assuming Semi Ojeleye comes back to SMU next year, the addition of Wichita gives the AAC three preseason top 25 teams.
swamprat
Greg Marshall talking about entering the American. ".. And we get to spend the night in a Marriot instead of a ... whatever. Some of these places (in the MVC) did not have the accommodations that we would prefer." While WSU won't be playing in Loyola in Chicago, anymore, they're trading Normal, Cedar Falls, Carbondale, Peoria, and Terre Haute for Tampa, Orlando, Cincinnati, Houston, Memphis, and Dallas. He definitely seems to be excited about the change.
Voice of Reason
Not only the hotel, I have to believe the travel itself will be much easier and better going to the AAC cities.
