gchs_uk9
Allowed 36 points total in four playoff games. That's stout.
bugatti
What is next year's phraseology? Go for the six-pack? JSU averaged around 600 yards/game. They gained 204 today, and NDSU won the time of possession 40 minutes to 20 minutes.
gchs_uk9
Maybe a Pick-Six? Pick up a sixth title, return it to Fargo?
newarkcatholicfan
Loved this ending like it did. The better team did what better teams do and that is win.
swamprat
Thought Jacksonville State would end the streak. Guess not.
NKY Bandit
Congrats to NDS. They have one heck of a team. Never thought they'd handle Jax State like they did. Wentz is going to be a great NFL QB.
NKYknowitall
When will they be dethroned? My goodness, 5 in a row is incredible.
NKY Bandit
Jax started DL guys from Bama, Auburn and UT and the NDS OL handled them easily.
bugatti
Jax started DL guys from Bama, Auburn and UT and the NDS OL handled them easily. Ultimately this is where they win each season on offense. It is old school and physical. I honestly didn't think JSU played terrible on defense or upfront, NDSU just had Wentz who couldn't be contained on the ground. He was easily the best player on the field. Couple that with some bad JSU turnovers and the #1 team was put in a position they had not been in all season. It felt like JSU would make a run at some point, and when Wentz through a bonehead INT it could have cut the lead to 10 in the middle of the third quarter, but the Bison held them from scoring a TD and that was is it. Defensively NDSU began firing on all cylinders by playoff time. They were shaky the first 3/4 of the season.
