Lawnboy13
A big "tip of the cap" to Head Coach Dan Hausfeld, Asst. Coaches Mark Watts & Chris Fryer and the Newport Central Catholic Freshman softball team on finishing the season a perfect 24-0. Tonight they down the Campbell Co. Camels, 9-2 & 8-1, to cap off the undefeated campaign. This "Baby Breds" team has played together for the past two seasons and have compiled a record of 41-5. While the "big" team will be losing some key players to graduation, this frosh group will bring up some very nice replacements in the coming years. All of this is key to the introduction of the NewCath freshman team in 2011 consisting of 6th & 7th graders, and has paid big dividends to the program. This group is just another example of the fine athletes that NewCath is so fortunate to have. Congrats girls (and Coaches) on a fun and wonderful season. :dancingpa 2015 NewCath Freshmen schedule Friday, March 20 Campbell County W 5-3 W 10-2 Wednesday, March 25 Dixie rained out Wednesday, April 8 Dixie rained out Thursday, April 9 Highlands rained out Saturday, April 11 at Dixie W 15-10 W 14-6 Saturday, April 11 Glen Este W 4-2 W 9-3 Thursday, April 16 Brossart W 14-0 W 16-1 Friday, April 17 Dixie at Dixie W 9-6 W 14-4 Saturday, April 18 St. Henry at St. Henry W 8-2 W 10-2 Tuesday, April 21 Scott W 5-1 W 12-5 Friday, April 24 Simon Kenton at Simon Kenton W 10-7 W 16-5 Saturday, April 25 Glen Este at Glen Este rained out Friday, May 1 Brossart at Brossart W 9-0 W 17-3 Saturday, May 2 Dixie at Dixie W 4-1 W 7-5 Thursday, May 7 Highlands at Highlands W 5-0 W 13-2 Friday, May 8 Campbell Co. vansmetal
Congrats!!! Nice Accomplishment!! Glad my DD is graduating and won't have to face these Phenoms!! :isurrender: I'm sure a lot of parents are glad their DD won't be facing them. They flat out induce panic and chaos pursues. They are by far the best freshman team I've seen, and as long as they stick together their future is looking bright. It was definitely smart on NewCaths coaches part to grab the youngsters and start building. Those coaches have done a nice job with those young ladies. Yall are setting an example of what teams should be working toward. Keep up the awesome work:)
