Kenton County HS Championship

Recommended Posts

Folks enjoyed much warmer spring conditions this evening at the Kenton County HS Championship Track Meet hosted by Dixie Heights at Rice Mountjoy Stadium. A 30 min. lightning delay halted momentum before we all got to enjoy a great sunset!

Congratulations to the host school who won both the boys and girls team standings.

Boys Team Rankings:

Congratulations to Mary and Karley on a great meet.

Boys top performers were:

Congratulations to Holmes teammates Freddie and Devin on a great meet.

I believe all escaped injury free and I only saw one lunch re-introduced to the infield after a hurdle race.

Have a great week! :thumb:

Was told Cov Cath sent mainly JV guys. Was this a JV only meet or did other teams send their varsity?

This was a varsity meet. Not sure why covcath didn't send their varsity. Maybe someone could shed light on that ?

Congrats to Jake...that could very well be the fastest time in NKY. Safe to draw the conclusion his 2014 state winning time of 10.93 was his prior best.

Cheers to him reaching 10.8 range and motivating other dash participants to improve on their personal bests! :thumb:

Accoring to KY Milesplit, Jake is currently 3rd. Jeff Teeteh of Boone County (who I don't recall) is first with a 10.84. Jordan Bridgett of Highlands is 2nd with a 10.90. Then Jake.

Alex Venneman is currently just outside the top 10 at 11th with an 11.07.
